Starting a Submission

Based upon the type of access you have, there are a few different ways you can begin a new submission on a workflow

If you have a Script account with Dashboard User or Owner access, here are the different ways you can start a submission.

  • If the workflow has Let users start the Script from the Inbox turned on within its start settings, you can initiate a submission from your Script Inbox.

    • When logged in to your Script Inbox, click the plus sign button on the left side of your screen.

    • Find the name of the workflow in the School Links window on the right side of your screen.

    • Click the purple Start New Submission button.

    or

    • When logged into Script, navigate to the Home page by clicking on the smiley face on the left side of your screen.

    • Click School Links from the white navigation bar on the left side of your screen.

    • Find the name of the workflow.

    • Click the purple Start New Submission button.

  • If the workflow has Allow anyone with a link to access this Script turned on within its start settings, you can initiate a submission by clicking on the submission link. Someone can share this link with you, or you can find the link yourself by opening the start settings of the workflow and copying the submission link. Click or insert the link into the web browser to begin the submission.


If you have a Script account with Inbox Only access, here are the different ways you can start a submission.

  • If the workflow has Let users start the Script from the Inbox turned on within its start settings, you can start a submission from your Script Inbox.

    • When logged in to your Script Inbox, click the plus sign button on the left side of your screen.

    • Find the name of the workflow in the School Links window on the right side of your screen.

    • Click the purple Start New Submission button.

  • If the workflow has Allow anyone with a link to access this Script turned on within its start settings, you can start a submission by clicking on the submission link. Someone will have to share this with you by either emailing it, posting it somewhere, etc. Click or insert the link into the web browser to begin the submission.


If you do not have a Script account, here is how you can start a submission.

(Often a parent or staff member may not have a Script account and will be initiating the submission as an external user.)

  • If the workflow has Allow anyone with a link to access this Script turned on within its start settings, you can initiate a submission by clicking on the submission link. Someone will have to share this with you by either emailing it, posting it somewhere, etc. Click or insert the link into the web browser to begin the submission.
