Who Can Do This?

  • Dashboard Users

  • Owners

A file transfer step enables a workflow to transfer submission data to a remote server. A Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is used to accomplish this. When a file transfer step is reached during a submission, it will run asynchronously - meaning that the submission will continue to run past this step as the files are being uploaded. Currently, only submission details, form steps, approval steps, and file upload steps are supported by a file transfer.

Before beginning a file transfer setup, there are a few things that your local IT department will need to have aligned in order to implement this feature.

They will need to:

  • Know their FTP Port

  • Know the name of their FTP server to which they want data downloaded

  • Grant permission/access to the users on the folder location to which they want the data to transfer

  • Have created a username and password for the person managing the file transfers

Once these things are in place within your organization, please reach out to scriptsupport@linq.com to complete the implementation of this process.
