Who can do this?

  • Owners

Users with owner access are the only ones who can:

  • Create new users

  • View all users

  • Edit any user's details

  • Suspend or Activate user accounts

Navigate to your Settings by clicking the gear button in the bottom left corner of the blue navigation bar.

Click Users on the left side of your page.

You will see a list of all existing users within your organization, their access level, and their account status. Accounts with Active status can log into Script and accounts with Suspended access can no longer log in to Script.

To create a new user:

Click the purple Create User button in the top right corner.

Your user configuration window will open on the right side of your page where you will be asked to type in their first name, last name, and email address.

From the Access Level dropdown menu, you can choose the appropriate access level for this user. For more information on the capabilities of each level, reference the resources below:

Leave the Automatically generate a password button toggled on to have Script assign them a randomized password that meets the criteria.

If you use this setting, the Ask for password change on sign in button will remain on to allow them to change this password upon logging in.

If you toggle the Automatically generate a password button off, you will be asked to type in a password for them that meets the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 8 characters

  • Must have at least 1 upper case letter

  • Must have at least 1 lower case letter

  • Must have at least 1 digit

  • Must have at least 1 special character !@#$%^&*

You can toggle off the Ask for password change on sign in button if you want them to keep this as their password. If you still want to allow them to change it upon logging in, you can toggle it on.

Click the purple Create User button.

You will now see a checkmark confirming that this new account has been created.

At the bottom of this window, you will notice the option to copy the user's password so that you can directly share it with them, or you can click the purple Send New Account Email button to have Script send them an email containing their new login information.

To manage an existing user:

Click on the user's name from the list of all users.

From this page, you will be able to view this user's details and edit them.

Click the circled silhouette next to their name to add a picture.

Click the purple Edit User button to edit their first name, last name, and email address.

Once your edits are made, click the purple Update Profile button.

Under the Edit User button, you can either activate or suspend this user's account.

To the right, there is a dropdown menu that allows you to change the account access this user has within Script.
