A typical school business process may gather information from several people in different departments. By creating a form in Script, users are able to replicate those multi-step processes in their digital and paper forms. When the appropriate user accesses the form at their step, the fields assigned to them will be fillable. Let's take a look at form steps and how to set up a single step and multi-step forms.

Form Steps are used to assign fields to users. Use the form steps to list out how many people need to fill out information on the form. The form steps will populate on your workflow where you can assign the workflow step.

Single-Step Forms are used when only one person needs to fill out information on the form - typically the initiator. As fields are created on a form, they are assigned to the initiator unless stated otherwise.

Multi-Step Forms are used when multiple people need to fill out information on the form. When a form step is added, another step will be added to the workflow.
